Motos for Docs Delivers Masks to Health Care Professionals

This past weekend, a small group of motorcyclists got together to deliver much needed masks to medical professionals in NYC. The group, organized by Motoveli’s Ryan Snelson, is working with Masks for Docs, an organization dedicated to getting medical supplies to health care workers. The group retrieved medical supplies from a delivery team who picked them up from Montauk. The bags of supplies were placed on the ground rather than handed over directly, to help avoid contact between the motorcyclists and delivery team. From there, the Motoveli team distributed the items to hospital personnel at their homes, making sure to wear masks and gloves and to avoid direct contact. Motoveli is continuing to run missions on behalf of Masks for Docs, and you can sign up to help out here. Please note that anyone partaking in these deliveries should exhibit extreme caution and ride fully-geared, or help deliver via car where available. This should not be used as an excuse to joyride, as any accident could lead to undue pressure on our already-stressed medical system.
